Section 10 · About
About this project
Wethenorth is an independent public record about a Canada-focused darknet marketplace — and a warning against the marketplaces themselves. It has no address to sell, nothing to promote, and no side to take except the reader's.
What this is
A small, single-purpose publication. It documents what the public record shows about We The North Market and the ecosystem around it — and it exists so that a search for this name lands, at least once, on a page that is not trying to monetise the visitor. It is written for whoever arrives with a question, whatever that question is.
What this is not
- Not the marketplace, not a vendor, not a "support" service, not a "mirror" directory — and not affiliated with any of them.
- Not a source of links, addresses, mirrors or access instructions, in any form, ever.
- Not a status tracker: it does not report whether any marketplace is up, down, or reachable.
- Not a paid placement: no advertising, no affiliate links, no sponsored edits, no paid "verification" of anything.
- This is the only site operated by this project.
Why it is anonymous
The subject of this file attracts two kinds of attention: from the trade it documents, and from the clone economy that harvests everyone who comes near the name. A named author would become a target and a marketing asset in equal measure. Publishing anonymously is a safety measure — for the author, and for the file.
Because there is no named author to check, the method is the accountability: dated sources, labelled assessments, versioned changes, and a corrections channel that works. That is the trade this project makes, and it is explained in full on For researchers.
The rules this file will not break
- No links, no addresses, no access — no exception, no "verification", no archive, no private correspondence.
- No status tracking — helping someone reach a marketplace is not a service this site provides, ever.
- No private individuals named beyond names already published in official enforcement records.
- No marketplace branding — this project uses its own identity and reuses no marketplace's marks.
- Sources stand behind their words — every fact here is referenced to a named, dated publication.

We cannot use — and will delete — any message containing marketplace addresses, links or access instructions. Do not send them. This address does not sell, verify, or broker anything, and never will.
If one person who came looking for a marketplace leaves this file having read how these stories end, it has done its job.
